On Monday we worked on our 30 second pitches and were introduced to our commercial assignment. There were a few things that I need to tweak about my pitch but now I believe it is all ready to be filmed! Tuesday we met with Mayor Patty Gregory at City Hall. We acted out a city council meeting where I was able to play one of the chairs. I found this experience very interesting because even though I have attended one, I didn’t know the amount of detail that went into their meetings. We had a meditation day on Wednesday which I found it very helpful. The breathing exercises that we learned will be ones that I will continue to do. My mind felt very clear and calm afterwards and I was ready to start my day. We created our storyboards for our commercials on Thursday which were really fun! I have decided to incorporate my peers into the commercial to make it more fun. I have decided to show the problem in the beginning, then my product, and finally the solution in the end. We also learned who won the local pitch competition where I got second place! The prize was $100 which I will use to invest into my business.
