It was an interesting week in CEO. On Monday, we practiced our pitch for the National Pitch Competition and emailed our bankers. I made my pitch which I think is pretty good. Genuinely, after all the practice we've done, I can feel myself getting better and more natural during these pitches. I'm not unsure or timid when it comes to giving and making them. On Tuesday we went to City Hall and met with the mayor. We ran through the process they do when they have a meeting. I feel something like that is important because whether we know it or not it does genuinely have an effect on our lives and most of us have no idea how it works. It was cool to get to actually do it with the mayor too, it shows how she does care enough to take the time out of her busy schedule to sit with us and help us through the process. On Wednesday we had my favorite day in CEO. The first time we met Geri Boyer she was one of my favorites and to get to do something so out of the ordinary and practice meditation and mindfulness with her was truly awesome to me. I’ve always been interested in things like that and to get to do it with CEO was genuinely impactful. Hearing Geri's story and how it’s helped her had a real impact on me to practice it in my life. I know it had a similar effect on my class mates too because since then I've seen them tapping their foreheads every now and again. Thursday we had a work day and I met with my mentor. It's always nice to meet with Neil because he’s genuinely nice and actually helpful. We talked mostly about pricing my ceramics and he said he would help me get in touch with a fellow CEO alumni who also did pottery (He has since connected us).
